This free needlepoint bracelet design was created and stitched exclusively for my first VIVA ZIVA! newsletter #0901.
I hope its bold, simple shapes will encourage you to give it a try.
This exotic design was inspired by a border from a 19th century prayer rug from Anatolie (now Turkey).
The graphic bouquets of carnations are simplified to elemental geometry of squares and triangles.
These 45 ° angular shapes are ideal for demonstrating the first stitch you should master… the basketweave stitch.

The bracelet is also fun for anyone who wants a simple design to stitch, and a bold bracelet to wear!
The VIVA ZIVA! Newsletter includes an easy to follow coloured chart.
It also shows you the stitching in progress and how to finish the bracelet.

Everything you need to give it a go!
The bracelet is stitched in cotton yarn, because I wanted the freshness and clarity of colour inherent in cotton.
The colours are bold and dramatic, in cool tones of teal, turquoise, royal blue, purples and fuchsia.
Perfect to wear with a wide range of colours from your wardrobe!
The VIVA ZIVA! newsletter is jammed packed with new designs in progress, answers to your FAQs and more!
