My goal is to ensure that ZIVA’s Needlepoint Kits make your stitching experience pleasurable, relaxing and easy to follow.

HAND-PAINTED CANVASES KITS

I’ve numbered what I include in each hand-painted canvases kit, as illustrated in the photo below:

1. Background on what inspired the unique design including a photograph of the finished tapestry.

2. General and Working Instructions including:

• The colour code for suggested yarn colours and suggested yarn quantities. (See sample page at right)
• Types of stitches recommended for your tapestry including their diagrams
• How to start and finish a stitch
• Instructions about ordering your specific yarns
• Detailed instructions specific to the hand-painted canvas you’ve received

3. Colour Code with yarn samples

4. Meticulously hand-painted needlepoint canvas on quality evenweave canvas, colour-coded and numbered.
In the photo above, you see the Black Chrysler Handbag hand-painted canvas, complete with the hand-painted canvas for the back pockets.

5. Making-Up Suggestions which show my design intent on how to finish your tapestry.

Drawings may be provided for Handbags, Purses, Bracelets and Belts, as illustrated with the sample drawing at left.

CHART KITS

I’ve numbered what’s included in each chart kit, as illustrated in the photo below:

1. Background on what inspired the unique design including a photograph of the finished tapestry.

2. General and Working Instructions including:

• The type and size of canvas and type of threads to order
• How to start and finish a strand
• Easy-to-follow instructions with diagrams on the types of stitches to use with the design you’ve chosen
• Tips for blocking a curved shape

3.  Needlepoint Chart in colour with grid

4.  Colour Code Chart for suggested yarn colours and suggested yarn quantities.

5.  Decorative Stitches Charts and instructions if applicable (sample of 'Rose Feathers' collar necklace decorative stitches chart at right)

6.  Making-Up Suggestions including suggested making-up materials, and suggested sewing tips
